Carmen M Santiago

On September 17th, 2025, Carmen M. Santiago of Bridgeport, CT, entered into eternal life with God. She was 78 years old.  Carmen went peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, including her husband of 50 years, Hector A.  Santiago, and her son Brian Santiago.  She was predeceased by her son, Michael Santiago, granddaughter, Keylyn Santiago, mother, Gloria Doolan, and brother Alfredo Cordero.

Carmen is survived by siblings, Charles "Micky" Ramos (spouse Luz Amparo Ramos), Linda Doolan Castagliuolo (late spouse Frank Castagliuolo), Patricia Donnelly (spouse Michael Donnelly), Diane Doolan (spouse Chris Bourg), and James "Jim" Doolan (spouse Leonore Curral Doolan).  She is also survived by nieces and nephews who loved her dearly, including Lora Castagliuolo, Jessica Ramos Nieves, Nicholas Donnelly, Patrick Donnelly, Taylor Doolan, Alyssa Doolan, Brooke Doolan and Lindsay Wilson and several great nieces and nephews.

Originally born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Carmen was raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and graduated from Central High School before attending Butler Business school and the Bible Institute of the Assemblies of God Spanish Eastern District. She had a long and successful career as an executive secretary, including but not limited to over 20 years of service at the Helping Hand Center.  Carmen was cherished by her Sunday school students at the Good Shepherd Christian Church (El Buen Pastor) and remained a devoted Christian throughout her life.  Those who knew her will greatly miss her remarkable patience, kindness, generosity, and unconditional love.  

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on  Monday, Sept. 22, 2025 from 9-10 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, CT. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. at the Funeral Home.  The funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. for burial in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield, CT.
