Bouthong (Sathavan) Chanthinith of Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away suddenly on April 21, 2026, at Civita Nursing Home. She was born on November 18, 1945 in Sayaboury, Laos.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bouaphan Chanthinith, and her son, Somlith Chanthinith. She is survived by her loving grandchildren, Alexis, Marina, and Ryan, along with many relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.
Bouthong found joy in the simple and meaningful moments of life. She loved spending time outdoors, especially tending to her garden. Cooking was one of her greatest expressions of love, and she found deep comfort in preparing meals for those around her. Music filled her days, as she often played it in her room, bringing warmth and familiarity to her home. She also enjoyed watching The Golden Girls, the Food Network, and football.
Her faith was an important part of her life. She found peace in going to the temple and drew strength and comfort from her religious beliefs.
She will be remembered as a devoted mother, a loving grandmother, and a kind, caring woman who loved her family deeply and unconditionally.
Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral services on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 8:30 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, CT. Cremation to follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.
