Bernadette Cremin passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025 at Brightview Senior Living, Shelton, Connecticut, surrounded by her loving family, after a long illness. Bernadette was born on May 18, 1935 to John and Bernadette Fitzgerald of Ansonia, Connecticut. She graduated Ansonia High School and attended nursing school at St. Raphael's, New Haven before marrying Edward J Cremin, and raising three children on Blueberry Lane, Huntington, CT.
Bernadette was energetic and she enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader, and a wonderful friend to so many. In the early 1970’s she lead the neighborhood children to create and write their own newsletter for their neighborhood. She had a very positive influence on children and young adults.
She enjoyed social time with others, square dancing with friends. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Bernadette was a medical secretary and she retired from Griffin Hospital. She spent her winters in The Villages, Lady Lake, Florida and she enjoyed summertime in Connecticut at the Milford shore with family and friends.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Kathleen McCann and her former husband, Edward Cremin. She is survived by her daughter Laureen Cremin of Stratford, and son David Cremin (Tonya) of Monroe and three grandchildren; Ryan McCann, Elizabeth Cremin and Thomas Cremin.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, September, 10, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. at the Cyril F Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, CT. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave. Huntington, CT. Burial to follow at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby, CT.
