Barbara Susan (Connelly) Milo, age 88, of Bridgeport, CT went home to be with the Lord on March 21, 2021. She died peacefully in her sleep.
Barbara was born on January 19, 1933 in Bridgeport, CT to Roger and Annamae Connelly. She graduated from Warren Harding High School. Barbara married her husband Officer Henry (Hank) Milo on October 19, 1953 in Blessed Sacrament Church in Bridgeport, CT. She was extremely generous and always ready to lend a helping hand in any way she could. She was an avid reader often reading a few books in one week. She had a great heart and a loving personality which really showed when she cooked and entertained family and friends. She volunteered over the years with The Barnum Festival and more recently raised funds for Operation Smile by creating handmade bookmarks and gift cards and selling them. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her children and five cherished grandsons. Her kind mannerism and warm smile will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Officer Henry (Hank) Milo, her cherished son Scott D. Milo; her sisters and their husbands Dolores (William) Goldeman, Sally (Robert) Sherwood and Mary (Raymond) O'Brien; brothers Roger Connelly and Barry and his wife (Jackie) Connelly. She is survived by her devoted children Kimberly (Milo) Fay and her husband (Robert) of Shelton; Jonathan Milo and his wife (Sharon Sullivan Milo) of Monroe; loving grandsons Ryan and Dylan Fay and Caleb, Samuel and Nathaniel Milo; sister-in-law Pat Connelly of Ansonia and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all the staff from Caring Hospice that took such great care of their mother in her home over the past year.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass in May 2021 at a day and time to be announced by the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull.
