Antoinette Marie Rodrigues

Antoinette Marie (Lucas) Rodrigues, age 64, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully December 16, 2020 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Rodrigues was born in Bridgeport, CT to the late Antonio and Antoinette (Cleary) Lucas. 

Antoinette was affectionately known as Nan, Auntie Annie and Annie. Her greatest love was her family and she dedicated her life to taking care of them. She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, aunt, sister and friend. She provided love, support and kindness to others. Antoinette was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her family-she was a mother to all. 

Annie was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family, especially over the holidays. She was famous for her lasagna and all of the traditional Portuguese dishes she would make on Christmas Eve. Her kitchen table was always full with family and friends dropping in for strong coffee and good conversation. She always greeted her guests by asking, “Did you eat yet?” Antoinette was so very good at making people feel at home. 

Annie will be missed dearly. Survivors include her beloved husband Manuel Rodrigues, her devoted son Michael Rodrigues; three cherished grandchildren Christina, Sophia, and Samantha Rodrigues; her sisters Emma (Lucas) Zerella and her husband Joseph, Emelia (Lucas) Kelley and Linda Lucas and her brother Anthony Lucas and his wife Debra; and many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews. Annie was predeceased by her brother Lanceford Lucas. 

Due to the current health situation funeral services will be private for the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, CT.
