Anne Ramik Jaroszewski, age 96, beloved wife of the late Edward L. Jaroszewski, Sr. and loving mother of Suzanne O’Connell and husband Dennis, Sr. of Tarpon Springs, FL; Dr. David Jaroszewski and wife Verda, PhD of Mooresville, NC; and the late Dr. Edward “Ned” Jaroszewski passed away peacefully at her daughter and son-in-law’s home with her devoted family by her side on Saturday, June 25, 2022 after being ill for over a year. Born in Bridgeport, CT to the late Stefan and Anna Piorek Ramik, Anne later resided in Mattituck, NY and in Stratford, CT for many years before moving to Trumbull, CT 61 years ago and then to Tarpon Springs, FL in 2018.
Anne was a 1943 graduate of Stratford High School and later attended the Junior College of CT. After attending school, Anne worked in the Bassick Company as well as MKB Industries in a managerial position. She was an active member of the Ladies Guild of the Confraternity of the Rosary in St. Theresa Church in Trumbull, as well as a church volunteer for many years. She also participated in a variety of activities with many friends she knew from her high school years and onward, but Anne’s greatest passion was her family. Anne was most fulfilled when she was involved with her family who will miss her boundless generosity and energy, her selflessness, and her capacity to love. She was the glue that held the family together, forever striving to make everyone happy.
Survivors, in addition to her children, include the loves of her life, her 7 grandchildren: Dennis O’Connell, Jr., Kristen O’Connell-Rubin (Richard), Ryan O’Connell (Samantha), Zachary Jaroszewski (Jillian), Andrew Jaroszewski (Alexandra), Abraham Jaroszewski (Samantha), and Theresa Jaroszewski (Davon). Anne’s other loves which brought such peace to her especially during her illness include her 6 great grandsons with another great grandson to be born in October of this year: Lincoln O’Connell, Blake Rubin, Jace Rubin, Bodhi O’Connell, James Jaroszewski, and Joshua Jaroszewski. Other family survivors include her brother, Dr. Richard Ramik, two sisters-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Anne was predeceased by her loving sisters Cecele Knebel, Clare Ramik, and Stephanie Trapp and her brothers Dr. Stanley Ramik, Edward Ramik, and Anthony Ramik.
Friends are invited to greet the family on Tuesday, July 5th from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:15 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St. Trumbull. Interment will follow in Long Hill Cemetery, Middlebrooks Avenue Trumbull.
