Anderson, Anne Denisevich, 89, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Ridge Crest @ MeadowRidge, Redding, CT. Since 2017 she resided in Redding at the home of her son and his wife, Timothy and Nancy Anderson, having previously lived in Greenville, SC for 43 years. Born July 12, 1930 in Bridgeport, CT, she was the daughter of the late John and Nadia (Molchan) Denisevich of Bridgeport, CT. Anne is survived by two sons, Christopher B. Anderson (Susan) of Barrington, R.I., and Timothy A. Anderson (Nancy) of Redding, CT, and seven grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Simon Denisevich, husband of 65 years, Albert S. Anderson and youngest son, Paul H. Anderson.
Anne graduated from the Northfield School (Northfield, Massachusetts), Carlton College (Northfield, MN), and Cornell University (New York, NY),where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Anne married Albert in June, 1953, and they lived in New York City while Albert completed medical school at New York Medical College. Anne worked as a nurse at Greenwich Hospital, Greenwich, CT, until starting a family in 1956. In 1963, Albert and Anne and their 3 children moved to Barrington, RI where Albert established his medical practice in Providence.
Anne joined with Albert in many local and state civic activities, some of which included Cub Scouts of America, Rhode Island Taxpayers’ Action Committee (RITAC), and Young Americans for Freedom. In the 1970s, Anne and the family moved, when Albert became professor of biology and zoology as well as the school physician at the former Shelton College, Cape May, NJ before moving to Greenville, SC to establish his four-decade medical practice, retiring in 2012. During these years Anne served as Albert’s receptionist, medical office manager, and librarian for the Bible-Science Library, together located at the Gallery Centre in Taylors, SC. Anne and Albert were members of Second Presbyterian Church in Greenville, SC.
A private committal service will be held Monday June 1, 2020 at 12 p.m. at Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pepperell Christian Academy, PO Box 679, Pepperell, MA 01463, where Anne and Al's Bible-Science library is being recreated and their work will be memorialized and further developed.
