Anita Schlaich-Schoch, age 90, of Shelton, CT entered in to eternal rest on July 11, 2024 at Bridgeport Hospital. Anita was born in Argentina to the late Alfonso and Elsa Ciesemann. She moved to the United States where she met and married her first husband Hermann Schlaich. Anita was a book keeper in Argentina and homemaker and caterer for much of her life in the States. Anita was a woman of faith and a member of the Dorcas Guild at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and making traditional German dishes especially on Christmas Eve for her family.
In addition to her first husband, Hermann, she was predeceased by her second husband Gerhard Schoch and her sister Erna Diel.
She is survived by her devoted son and daughter-in-law Manfred and Lisa Schlaich. Her loving grandchildren Amber (and her husband Ricardo) and Derek (and his fiancé Sarah). She also leaves behind a cherished great granddaughter Emma Gomes and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the compassionate nursing staff on Bridgeport Hospitals 10th floor for their exceptional care to Anita and her family this past week.
Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral services on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 5995 Main St. Trumbull, with the Reverend Nathan Erb officiating. Burial to follow in Mt. Grove of Easton Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, CT.
