Anita Mullins McGrath

 
Anita Marie (Mullins) McGrath, age 96, formerly of Trumbull, passed away February 10, 2021 in Waxhaw, N.C. Mrs. McGrath was a graduate of Warren Harding High School in Bridgeport, CT and Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing. She was an E.R. nurse (RN) at Bridgeport Hospital for 38 years until her retirement. She was the daughter of the late D. Edward Mullins and Jane (Miller) Mullins. Mrs. McGrath was predeceased by her husband Joseph J. McGrath, brothers, Daniel R. Mullins and Reverend Gerald C. Mullins, and her sister, Jane P. Mullins. She is survived by her son, James C. McGrath of Trumbull, her daughter, Jane McGrath Sanders and son-in-law Foster J. Sanders Jr. MD; three cherished grandchildren, Kelly Sanders Bessette of Charlotte, NC, Christopher Sanders and his wife, Megan McCarthy Sanders DVM of N. Stonington, CT, Lindsay Sanders Murthy and her husband Hemant (Monty) Murthy MD of Ponte, Verde, FL and five great grandchildren. Due to the current pandemic, services at the church will be private. Interment in Nichols Village Cemetery.
