Andrew P. Skarupa Jr., age 81, of Milford, passed away April 21, 2021 in Milford Hospital. He was born in Newport, Rhode Island to the late Andrew and Margaret Skarupa Sr. and was raised in Fairfield, CT.
He was an Executive Sous Chef with Marriot Hotels and restaurant consultant specializing in restaurant openings, expansions, sanitation, purchasing, food cost and menu planning.
Mr. Skarupa was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He loved gardening, taking photographs of nature, bird watching and enjoying the outdoors. His love of flowers and gardening was portrayed in the Japanese garden that took him over 5 years to create.
He is survived by his beloved wife Linda (Maher) Skarupa; two sons Andrew P. Skarupa III and his wife Jennifer and Brad Skarupa and his wife Kelly; two cherished grandchildren Sofia and Parker; seven brothers and sisters Anita Doran, Carol Mohan, Joseph Skarupa, Ann Petriello, Mary DePault, Emery Skarupa and Jean Sutherland and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Margaret Kilkenny and Louise Bulkley and his brother Michael Skarupa.
Friends and family are invited to attend a walk through visitation on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, CT. Masks are required. Please practice social distancing guidelines. Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral services on Monday at 11:00 a.m. directly at St. Agnes Church, 400 Merwin Ave. Milford, CT. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown, CT.
