Winifred Ross Day

Winifred Ross Day, age 83, of Trumbull, passed away October 31, 2018. Mrs. Day was born in Ogdensburg, NY and was a longtime Trumbull resident. She was a secretary for Sikorsky for many years. Mrs. Day was very active in the community, serving as Treasurer and Hospitality Chair for the Trumbull Women's Club, a longtime member of Pinewood Lake Assoc. where she volunteered for the swim races and a member of the N.I.A. She was an avid reader and enjoyed history, trivia, playing cards and spending time in the sunshine at Pinewood Lake. She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Bradley Warner Day; loving daughter Sue Day Remington; her brother James L. Ross and his wife Margaret, her sister Nancy Ross Widman and her husband Kenneth and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Monday  at 10:00 a.m.  directly  at St. Catherine of Siena Church, (McClinch Family Center), 220 Shelton Rd., Trumbull. Interment will be private. At the family's request, calling hours have been omitted. Arrangements in care of the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
