William Joseph Muldoon, age 80, of Huntington, passed away February 23, 2018 in Lord Chamberlain. Mr. Muldoon was born in New Haven, CT to the late William and Mildred Higgins Muldoon. He earned a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in Communication from Fairfield University. He was a retired marketing executive at General Electric. Mr. Muldoon proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a volunteer at St. Joseph's Manor and a member of The Melodeers Singing Group, where he brought the joy of song to senior centers near and far. He was an avid golfer at Brownson Country Club and Homewood Acres, as well as a skilled sailor and captain of the Sand-Doon, where he enjoyed adventures with family and friends around the Thimble Islands and Kelsey Island on Long Island Sound. He was predeceased by his first wife Patricia Corcoran Muldoon. He is survived by his wife Doreen Baker Muldoon, his three sons William Muldoon, Brian Muldoon and his husband Sean McLeod and David Muldoon and his wife Sarah Geiger; his brother Joseph Muldoon, his sister Shirley Johnson; two grandchildren Devon and Elias Muldoon and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral services at Huntington United Methodist Church on Tuesday, February 27th at 10 a.m. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull, CT. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull.
