Violet, true to her flower namesake, was gentle, intense, and lovely. The constancy of her life-long love for her family, her dear mother, father, Evelyn and Adelaide as well as her life-long friends, her church community and her students, never wavered She was tenacious in her passion for a romantic world that encompassed her singing beautiful love songs, and writing lyrical poetry. I cherish a myriad of funny times and still hear her soft throaty giggles that I first heard in our freshman year at college. "Violetta's" friendship and caring for me has been a life-long gift.
