Stephanie "Stephie"  Mead age 96, of Shelton, passed away on October 10 at Bridgeport Hospital. She was a beloved mother and “Nana” who was treasured by her children, grandchildren and great-grand-children. Born in Russellton, PA in 1921 Stephie was the daughter of the late Teofil and Mary Butski of Bridgeport. The youngest of seven children, she was predeceased by two young brothers and siblings Helen Vars, Elizabeth James and Nellie Popowski. She was a longtime area resident who grew up in Bridgeport, and raised her daughters in Trumbull and West Haven. Her beautiful singing voice, excellent baking skills, perfect sense of style and radiating love will be missed by all that knew her. 

 Stephie was pre-deceased by her devoted husband of 50+ years Jerry W. Mead. She is survived by her two beloved daughters Geraldine Novak and her husband John of Stratford, Linda Mead and her husband Leigh Bradley of Stratford; her granddaughter Sandra Carlo and her husband Kelly Carlo, and her grandson Jerald Novak and his wife Jennifer Novak; and four great-grandchildren Sydney Carlo, Avery Carlo, JP Novak and Ben Novak; as well as a niece and two nephews. 

Friends and loved ones may greet the family on Wednesday October 18 from 6:00-8:30 pm at the Cyril Mullins Funeral Home 399 White Plains Road, Trumbull.

Friends are invited to attend mass at Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church 651 Stratford Rd. Stratford at 10:00 am Thursday October 19.  Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
