Norman Arnold Aanensen, age 67, of Bridgeport, passed away October 14, 2019 in Bridgeport Hospital. Mr. Aanensen was born in Bridgeport to the late Einar and Erika Aanensen. He was a medical foreman for Curagen in Branford. He worked closely with PhD students on the Genmore project finding different cures for various diseases. He was a member of Who's Who and a dedicated parishioner of Unity Hill United Church of Christ Church. He was an accomplished artist who enjoyed fishing and camping; however his favorite pastime was spending time with his family. Survivors include his daughter Amy Nikia Aenensen, his son Kyle Zachary Aanensen, his sisters Linda Schlonsky and Roseann Girodanella; his grandchildren Vanessa and Jonathan Sanchez and Kaitlyn Santiago and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters Diana Boulton and Sonja Paziniak. Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday Nov. 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Unity Hill United Church of Christ with the Rev. Todd Shipley officiating.
