Marie A. (Bandanza) Rodrigues, age 84, of Shelton, passed away June 17, 2017 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Mrs Rodrigues was born in Bridgeport to the late Samuel and Georgelina Bandanza. She was a retired teletypist for Social Security. She also worked for  Remington Rand and Read's Department Store. She and her husband Jose were founding members of Our Lady of Fatima Church, where she taught catechism and played the piano. She will be fondly remembered for her creative and insightful poems that she made for family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her beloved husband Jose Rodrigues of Shelton, two devoted sons Joseph and his wife Isabel Rodrigues of Bridgeport and Anthony and his wife Margaret Rodrigues of Derby, her loving brother Nicholas and his wife Joan Bandanza of Trumbull; five cherished grandchildren Samantha Foster, Anthony, Joseph and Jeremy Rodrigues and Samantha Bernardo; and four great grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral services on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull and at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 401 Huntington Rd. Bridgeport. Entombment in St. Michael's Mausoleum. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Church.
