On Thursday, November 15, 2018, Lubomir Tomaszewski, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 95. Lubomir was born on June 9, 1923 in Warsaw, Poland to Lubomir and Lucyna Bartlomiejczyk Tomaszewski. In December 1974, he married Krystyna Klonowska. He is survived by his two daughters, Dorota and Christine.
He graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, and immigrated to the United States in 1966. He was a professor (later professor emeritus) at the University of Bridgeport and a celebrated artist who mentored and inspired generations of talent. He was a visionary in industrial design, a unique voice in the art world, and he will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.
Friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd., Trumbull at 10:15 a.m. on Monday November 26th and at Notre Dame of Easton Church, 655 Morehouse Rd. Easton at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Spring of 2019 (as the cemetery closes for the winter) at Mountain Grove of Easton Cemetery. A wake will be held on Sunday, November 25th, 2018 from 3 pm to 6 pm. Donations in place of flowers may be sent to the Kosciuszko Foundation, 15 East 65th Street, New York, NY 10065.
