John V. Collins, age 81, of Trumbull, passed away June 16, 2017 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Mr. Collins was born in NY, NY to the late John and Nora Collins. He worked in administration for Pittston Company in Greenwich for many years, prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Park City Council, a past Grand Knight and Fourth Degree Knight, past president and longtime member of the the A. O. H. John F. Kennedy Division 1, past president of the M.A.L.E.S. , member of the Gaelic-American Club and the St. Theresa Seniors. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Helen Russ Collins of Trumbull; four children John C. Collins (Karen) of Trumbull, Nora Ann Price of Norwalk, Michael F.  Collins (Linda) of Naugatuck and Patrick B.  Collins (Marianne) of Stamford; one brother Thomas F. Collins (Katherine) of N.J.; seven grandchildren Sean, James, John Alfred and Matthew Collins, Sherry and Christopher Lundell and Madison McEachern, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Eileen Brennan and his nephew Thomas Rogan. Friends are invited to attend his funeral services on Monday at 11:00 a.m. directly at St. Theresa Church 5301 Main St. Trumbull. Interment will be private. Friends may call on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Trumbull E.M.S or St. Theresa Church ( Adoration  Chapel).
