John Robert Bergmann, age 60, of Trumbull, passed away October 3, 2017 in his home. John was born in Wichita, KA to the late B. James and Joan M. Bergmann. He graduated from Trumbull High School and received his engineering degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. John was in marketing and sales for Panasonic in NYC until he moved to Laguna Beach, CA. where he was an engineer and entrepreneur. He was a car enthusiast and animal lover and raised many rescue dogs. Known for his sense of humor and wit, he was often seen walking the hills of Laguna, stopping to visit with his neighbors with a treat for the dogs. Moving to Trumbull, he made many friends while walking his dog, BooBoo in the neighborhood. He loved all his neighbors.

He is survived by his devoted brother James Bergmann and his fiancé Laurie Breton, and three loving nephews Ryan Bergmann and his fiancé Emily Richter, Kristofor Bergmann and Patrick Bergmann. Also survived by his uncle Robert (Bob) Malone and his wife Barbara and  Uncle Joe Bergmann and his wife Chris.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial Mass at 10 AM on October 21, 2017 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Shelton Ave. Trumbull. Interment will be private. Contributions may be made to the Trumbull Animal Group (T.A.G.) P.O. Box 110090, Trumbull, CT 06611. Arrangements in care of the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home.
