Joan Malone Bergmann, age 85, of Trumbull, passed away September 19, 2017 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Bergmann was born in Chicago, Illinois. She was a devoted wife, sister, mother and grandmother who was very active in the Trumbull Animal Group serving as past secretary. She gave a home to many rescue dogs and encouraged others to adopt.

She was recently predeceased by her beloved husband B. James Bergmann. Her son John Bergman, sadly passed away on October 3, 2017.  She was also predeceased by her brother John (Jack) Malone and her sister Lois Gritzner. She is survived by her loving son James Bergmann and his fiancé Laurie Breton, Tracy Picardi, the beloved daughter of her long-time dear friend Nancy; her brother Robert (Bob) Malone and his wife Barbara; three cherished grandsons Ryan Bergmann and his fiancé Emily Richter, Kristofor Bergmann and Patrick Bergmann. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial Mass at 10 AM on October 21, 2017 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Shelton Ave. Trumbull. Interment will be private. Because of Joan’s dedication to rescue animals and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Trumbull Animal Group (T.A.G.) P.O. Box 110090, Trumbull, CT 06611. Arrangements in care of the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home.
