Evelyn Harries  Merhi, age 80, of Monroe, passed away November 30, 2017 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Mrs. Merhi was born in Bridgeport, CT to the late James and Catherine Harries and was a longtime Monroe resident.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Raymond Merhi, loving sons, Randal Merhi and David Merhi and his wife Michelle Merhi; two cherished grandchildren Max and Nicole Merhi and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Merhi was a secretary for Avco Lycoming for many years before retiring to raise a family. Family was of utmost importance to her and she cherished her time with her grandchildren.She was the kindest and most loving person and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral services on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. directly at St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike. Interment to follow in St. John's Cemetery Monroe. At the request of the family, calling hours have been omitted.
