Claire Vitola

Claire Vitola, age 83, of Trumbull, passed away June 24, 2018 in her home. She was born in Bridgeport, CT, daughter of the late James and Clara Vitola.  Claire was a cost accountant  at AVCO Lycoming and Sikorsky Aircraft and retired after many years of service. She was a super fan of UConn Womens' Basketball and watched each game with enthusiasm. Claire or "Aunt Babe" especially enjoyed the many family holidays and birthday celebrations with her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Theresa Vitola.  She is survived by her devoted brother Anthony Vitola and loved by her late sister-in-law Martha Vitola of Trumbull.  She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews Stephen Vitola, Paul and Kristine Vitola,  Amanda and Thomas Keri, Lisa and John McGorty; six cherished great grand nieces, Lauren, Abigail, Makenzie, Molly, Carly and Julie, and two grand nephews, Evan and Shane. Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral services on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave. Trumbull. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4- 8 p.m.
