Barbara Edith Bailey, age 99, of Shelton, passed away April 30, 2017 at Bishop Wicke Health Center. She was an administrative assistant for the Bpt. Counsel of Churches and a member of the Women's Fellowship at Unity Hill U.C.C. An active member of the community, she was a bookkeeper at the Greater Bridgeport Symphony and a volunteer at the Ella Grasso Thrift Shop. Survivors include her niece Janet (husband Howard) Van Iderstine, her nephews Duane and Russell Bailey and her grand nephews Lee (Wife Ellen) and Keith Van Iderstine and her great-grand nephew Parker. She was predeceased by her parents Ira and Edith Bailey, her brother Herbert Bailey and her sister Marion Moore. Friends are invited to attend her funeral services on Friday at 11:30 a.m. directly at Unity Hill United Church of Christ 364 White Plains Rd.Trumbull, CT. Friends may pay their respects form 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment in Lawncroft Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Women's Fellowship of Unity Hill U.C.C. Arrangements in care of Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home.
