Elizabeth (Mullee) Herman, age 77, formerly of Trumbull, passed away April 27, 2017 in Milford Hospital. Mrs. Herman was born in NYC, NY to the late Raymond and Theresa Mullee of the Candlewood Lake Club in New Milford and NYC. Mrs. Herman graduated from Mary Louis Academy and Manhattanville College of the Sacred Heart. She received her Master's degree in Education from Columbia University and her 6th year degree in teaching from Wesleyan University. She was a retired teacher for the Bridgeport and Trumbull Schools Systems and a member of PIMMS (Project to Increase Mastery of Mathematics and Science). Her love for learning never stopped. She had a brilliant mind and completed the New York Times Crossword Puzzles regularly as well as watching Jeopardy with great enthusiasm. A devout Catholic, she was a Eucharistic minister at St. Theresa Parish for many years. She was also an animal lover, caring for many pets over the course of her lifetime. She is survived by her devoted husband Lt. Paul Herman Esq., four loving children Susan de Alejos (husband David Richard) of NYC and Baldwin, NY Marianne Schell (husband Steven) of Mt. Laurel, NJ, Christina Cylwik (husband Erik) of Trumbull and Andrew Herman (wife Cindy) of Trumbull; two sisters Dr. Theresa Schoenig of NY and Susan Herbert (husband Allen) of VA; her sister-in-law and childhood friend MaryBeth Herman Wood of NC; six grandchildren Elizabeth and Julianne Schell, Aleksander, Lukas and Katryna Cylwik and Jacob Herman; two step grandchildren David and Bianca Alejos and several nieces and nephews She was predeceased by a daughter Jane Elizabeth Herman. Friends are invited to attend her funeral services on Monday at 9:00 a.m. directly at St. Theresa Church 5301 Main St. Trumbull. Burial will be private in Holy Rood Cemetery Westbury, NY. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull. Memorial contributions may be made to the Franciscan Mission Associates 276 W.
